The cozy cabin is nestled in a forest of birch, hemlock, beech, and pine, which support the local populations of sapsuckers, jays, and warblers. Step outside and you're just feet from the lake, with your own private beach on one of the larger lakes in the central Maine region. Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to spot one of the beavers or river otters that visit occasionally.

There are two cozy bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed and another with three bunk beds (two twins and full). The upstairs loft has a full size bed and overlooks the main living space.

Knowing the cottage has a full-stocked kitchen makes meal planning easy. The kitchen boasts a new range, new fridge, microwave, and drip coffee maker (filters included). Abundant amounts of cookware, from pots, pans, and baking sheets to cooking utensils, plates, and glassware, encourages cooking for small and large gatherings.

The private beach at Loon Beach Cottage is just a few steps away from the cabin and offers more than one hundred feet of sandy lakefront shoreline. It is the perfect place to unwind and spend the day, from misty mornings to dramatic sunsets. When you step onto the beach you will find the fire pit and a shallow area that is terrific for kid-friendly wading and naturally free of aquatic plants. Head out for a swim, put in one of the kayaks, or push off in the canoe to explore the lake from the water. Try your luck and cast a line for bass or trout directly from shore.
Citizens of the Wakanabi Nations have lived in the Great Moose Lake area long before Europeans arrived in the late 1700s. Since then, Great Moose Lake has been a prime site for recreation and vacationing. Loon Beach Cottage was built in 1972 and is located within Saint Albans, Maine near Hartland, Maine. The same family owned it for more than 50 years and formed decades of precious family memories within its walls on the lake. We are proud to carry on the camp tradition and enable our own family and others to enjoy this special location and make memories of their own.
